2026 LTS Coaches
These are the coaches who will be directly working with you during the 2026 Learn to Scull program:
Michelle Nemshak
Coach
Michelle joined AARC in 2008 and has been a dedicated instructor for the Learn to Scull program. She specializes in breaking down complex rowing movements into approachable steps for beginners.
Lars Fritsche
Coach, Club Secretary & Membership Chair
Lars joined AARC in 2014 and serves as the Club Secretary and Membership Chair. As a coach for the Learn to Scull program, he focuses on helping novice rowers master the fundamentals of sculling while ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning experience.
Sean Connors
Coach
Sean became an AARC member in 2018 and quickly became involved with the Learn to Scull program. With his patient approach and technical knowledge, he helps new rowers feel comfortable and confident on the water.
Russ Miller
Coach
Russ brings enthusiasm and technical expertise to the Learn to Scull program. He is dedicated to helping new rowers develop proper form and technique while building their confidence on the water.
Margaret Hudson
Coach
Margaret has been an AARC member since 2009. She brings her leadership skills and rowing experience to the Learn to Scull program, helping new scullers develop confidence and proper technique on the water.
James "Jamie" Riddell IV
Coach
Jamie is part of the 2026 Learn to Scull coaching team, helping new scullers build confidence, safety awareness, and sound rowing fundamentals.
Adam Zwolinski
Coach
Adam is part of the 2026 Learn to Scull coaching team, supporting participants as they learn boat handling, sculling technique, and safe rowing habits.

Marcia Leonard
Club President
Marcia serves as AARC Club President and helps guide the club's programs, operations, and community engagement.
Russell Giacobbe
Sculling Development Director
Russ leads the club's sculling development programs and is a key figure you'll meet after completing the Learn to Scull program. His experience and commitment to safety make him an invaluable resource for developing scullers.
Tom Kraft
Head Sculling Coach
Tom is widely respected for his technical expertise and teaching methodology. His frameworks are used throughout our rowing programs and serves as the foundation for the Learn to Scull curriculum.
Barbara Kraft
Sculling Coach
Barbara works alongside Tom to develop rowing programs at AARC. She is known for her patient coaching style and attention to detail that helps rowers continue to improve after their initial instruction.
