Weather Decision Parameters
Consider postponing or modifying the session if:
- Wind speeds exceed 12 mph (19 km/h)
- Air temperature below 50°F (10°C)
- Water temperature below 50°F (10°C)
- Lightning predicted within 30 minutes
- Heavy fog limiting visibility to less than 100m
- Heavy rainfall affecting visibility

Pre-Session Briefing Topics
- Weather conditions and any modifications
- Safety procedures review (including what to do if different boat types are encountered or used)
- Session objectives and structure
- Boat assignments and rationale (including discussion of different boat types being used, if applicable, and specific boat names/numbers like P1, P2, P3, P4, W1, W3, W4)
- Designated water area for today’s session
- Communication signals and protocols
- Individual participant considerations
